Our mission is to challenge the buy-and-throw-away culture in the furniture industry. That’s why at Wecycle, we produce all our products in Denmark using the most environmentally friendly materials possible, such as 100% residual wood and entirely natural textiles. However, sustainability should never come at the expense of design—that’s why our key design principles are Nordic, timeless, and minimalist.
This Outdoor Luna Bench is made from 100% residual wood sourced from European forests and features a hand-woven seat crafted from recycled seat belts taken from scrapped cars – giving each bench a truly unique appearance. Like all Wecycle Furniture pieces, it is designed and produced in Denmark.
Each bench is one of a kind, and the expression of the woven seat will vary from piece to piece. You may even notice small plastic buttons in the weave – a subtle nod to the seat belt’s original purpose. See photos for examples.
The design is simple, Nordic, and minimalist – created as a response to the throwaway culture, where trends often last only a season or two. The goal is to give high-quality materials a second life.
This bench is perfect for outdoor use – whether on a terrace, balcony, in a greenhouse, or wherever needed. It is weatherproof and easy to maintain.

The Outdoor Collection is woven from old seat belts—a material that is incredibly strong and weather-resistant. Besides being practical and durable, the seat belts catch the light beautifully, creating an exclusive look. Who would have thought that seat belts could be this luxurious?

Danish Douglas fir
Douglas fir is a hard and stable wood species, making it perfect for outdoor furniture that needs to withstand all kinds of weather. As always at Wecycle Furniture, the wood is residual timber sourced from Danish forests.
An environmentally friendly alternative
Residual wood
Wood is often sorted out and used for firewood or wood chips if it has knots, warping, or an “incorrect” size. We aim to reduce resource waste by producing all our furniture from sorted-out wood. All our wood comes from Danish forests managed with environmentally friendly forestry practices.
